Running an excavation business means welding our own equipment — cracked bucket corners, worn bucket teeth, broken hydraulic lines, bent stick arms, and repaired frame cracks come with the territory. Over 15+ years we've built out a full welding capability alongside the excavation fleet. The mobile rig goes out for customers across Eastern CT whenever a farm or contractor can't get equipment to a shop.
Most mobile welding calls fall into three categories: heavy equipment repair (bucket and arm damage, frame cracks, hydraulic mount repairs on excavators, skid steers, tractors, and loaders), trailer repair (broken welds on flatbeds, dumps, and livestock trailers), and fabrication retrofits (gate modifications, equipment guards, custom brackets). We carry AR400/AR500 plate stock for wear surface repairs — the hardened plate that extends bucket life.
For farms and commercial shops, we also do custom fabrication in the shop: driveway gates, security gates, handrails, compost bay frames, equipment guards, and structural steel for small barn additions. Lead time is typically 1-2 weeks on custom fab work. Materials priced at our cost plus fabrication hours — no markup games.
