Plenty of good building lots in Eastern Connecticut are still under trees. Land clearing is how they become house sites, and it's work Roberts Excavation has done across Windham and New London counties since 2010: clearing for new homes, driveways, septic systems, pastures, and simple elbow room around an existing house. We fell and remove trees, pull stumps, grub out roots and brush, and leave a site that's ready for the next trade rather than a field of holes and slash.
Clearing here is rarely just cutting trees. Eastern Connecticut ground hides boulders, old stone walls, and ledge, and stumps in rocky till don't come out clean without the right machine and an experienced operator. Because we run our own equipment, the excavator that pulls the stumps also rough-grades the site behind them. Wood and brush can be chipped, hauled off, or left log-length for firewood, whichever suits you.
Before clearing starts we walk the property lines with you and flag what stays: shade trees, stone walls, buffers along the neighbors. We also check whether your town requires a permit or has wetland setbacks touching the work area, since clearing near wetlands in Connecticut generally needs inland wetlands review, and it's far cheaper to confirm that first. Estimates are free, and the scope is spelled out before a single tree comes down.
